Our relationship with MLS’s
We believe that the local Multiple Listing Service ("MLS") is the critical hub of content for existing homes for sale. The MLS provides quality assurance and security of data that is essential to both the consumer and the industry. We work tirelessly to ensure industry compliance across our network of broker sites.
The Roost search engine is composed of a network of broker & agent IDX sites. All MLS searches on Roost provide consumers access to MLS listings on a broker’s IDX site under the compliance guidelines of that local market. The broker has control of their branding, URL and amount of presence. All disclosures and attributions are displayed according to that MLS’s rules.
We have an exclusive relationship as a reseller of iHomeFinder, Inc, a leader in IDX solutions and expert in compliance, to provide brokers and agents these IDX sites on the Roost platform. This relationship ensures we meet all local guidelines, compliance and paperwork requirements.
We offer IDX-based search results on these IDX sites, with links that lead to the broker or agent’s main website to get the full property information. We require that our partners are members of their local Board of Realtors and MLS associations and operate an IDX compliant website.
